Repairs Before Replacement
A few lifting planks or a cracked tile doesn’t mean the floor is finished. Plenty of homeowners get quoted for a full replacement when what’s actually needed is a handful of boards swapped and a transition strip refitted — a fraction of the cost and a fraction of the disruption.
We repair what can sensibly be repaired: damaged planks, loose boards, cracked or lifting tile, transitions that have worked loose between rooms. If a floor genuinely is past saving we’ll say so rather than take money for patching something that will fail again in a year.
The old Dubs site put it well — bringing your Pinterest ideas to life. A tile backsplash, a wood accent wall behind the bed, floating shelves in an alcove. These are the projects that sit on the list for years because they’re too small for a contractor to take seriously and just big enough that a Saturday won’t cover it.

Can you repair part of my floor, or does it all need replacing?
Often just the damaged section. We’ll look before recommending anything — a full replacement is sometimes right, but it’s rarely the first answer.
Do you install tile backsplashes?
Yes, kitchen and bath. Cut around outlets and edges properly, spaced evenly and grouted clean.
Can you build an accent wall?
Wood, tile or paint. Send the photo of what you’re after and we’ll tell you what’s involved.
Will my shelves hold weight?
If we fit them, yes. Anchored into studs where they exist, and with proper fixings where they don’t. Most shelving that fails was hung into drywall alone.
Can you fit cabinet hardware?
Yes — pulls and knobs drilled straight and spaced evenly across every door and drawer. It sounds trivial until it’s done badly.
Do you do full kitchen or bathroom remodels?
No. We do the finishing work inside them — backsplashes, hardware, flooring repairs, fixtures. For a full remodel we’ll point you to someone who does that properly.
