In a Phoenix summer a ceiling fan does real work, and a bad install shows up fast. Fans wobble because they’ve been hung off a box that was never rated to carry a moving load — fine for a light fixture, not for something spinning above your bed. That’s the most common problem we’re called to fix.

We check what’s in the ceiling before mounting, fit a rated box where one’s needed, and balance the blades before we leave. Replacing an old fan, adding one to a room that never had it, or swapping in something quieter for a bedroom — all straightforward, usually done in a single visit.

Smart Switches, Cameras and Doorbells

Most smart home gear is sold as simple to install and turns out not to be. Smart switches often need a neutral wire that older Valley homes don’t have at the box. Doorbell cameras need a transformer that can carry them. Finding that out mid-install, on a ladder, is how a Saturday disappears.

Electrical Questions We Get Asked

Do I need an electrician to replace a ceiling fan?

Not usually. Swapping a fixture on existing wiring is standard handyman work. New circuits, panel work or anything behind the wall needs a licensed electrician, and we’ll say so.

Why does my ceiling fan wobble?

Nearly always the mounting. If it’s hung off a standard light box rather than a fan-rated one, it will wobble no matter how well the blades are balanced. That’s a fixable problem.

Can you add a fan where there's only a light?

Often, yes — depends what’s in the ceiling and whether the box can be upgraded. We’ll look before quoting.

My smart switch won't work. Can you help?

Usually a missing neutral wire, which is common in older homes here. There are switches that work without one, and we can advise on what will fit your wiring.

Do you install security cameras and doorbells?

Yes, mounted, wired and configured on your phone before we go.

Can you put in under-cabinet or closet lighting?

Yes. It’s one of the cheapest changes that makes a kitchen look finished.
